Two Random Thoughts
I was staring at Liam this morning while he stood in his favorite spot in the front window looking out. He's a miniature human; he has every part that adult human has, but just on a tinier scale. I find this concept mind boggling. Sure, he has a little less hair and roughness that he will probably have later, and hopefully he will become able to use words and not have to go down the steps on his hands and knees backwards. How strange that, not only did my body grow and then expel a small human, but he has continued to grow over the past 16 months, but he still is miniature.
In other news, I opened the microwave this morning and found a bowl of once-melted, now-hardened butter. Where did this come from? Who put it here? Did I? If so, when? Why was I melting butter? Oh...did I forget to add this butter to the pancakes I made 4 days ago? I haven't opened the microwave since then? Did the pancakes taste odd? Hmm... That's a weird feeling; not knowing what is going on.
It's a gorgeous, summer morning here. I can feel the heat in the air. Birds are chirping. The boy is whining.
